IP or AHD VIDEO surveillance?

Externally, they differ in principle only one thing – it is the connector. The classic IP camera has an rj45 connector, i.e. for twisted pair, as well as a power connector. The classic analog camera has a bnc connector, as well as a power connector.

Some five years ago you could say that analog video surveillance is an old low-quality video surveillance, and IP – is a good modern quality. But four years ago appeared format hd – this is the same analog video surveillance, but with much higher quality, where the format of the picture is measured not in TVL, as in the old analog cameras, and in megapixels at 1 and 2 megapixels, respectively, with a resolution of hd 1280 by 720 pixels and full hd 1920 by 1080 pixels. At the same time, the analog camera and hd format remained almost in the same price category as the analog camera.

That is, we come to the main difference – it is the price. Classic IP cameras cost one and a half to 2 times more expensive than standard analog cameras, even hd format. That is, if you have a standard task, domestic: to protect some small object, dacha, industrial premises, garage cooperative, you are quite suitable and hd-format. You can save yourself a significant part of your budget, while getting a good quality picture. If you have a large object – a shopping center, and if you have a task in a very complex analytics, in counting visitors, perhaps in face detection, in determining the number of the car; if you have a task in scaling, so that your system has an unlimited ability to constantly add cameras, then you will be suitable only IP video surveillance.

More significant difference in video recorders classic, analog or hd recorder has bns outputs. Classic IP video recorder has no output at all, the only output it has is the output under rj45, to which the switch is connected and directly to the switch is connected IP cameras.
